Hit the brakes! The Annual Detroit North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) returns to Cobo Center Detroit January 8 – 22 to pay homage to American automotive innovation.

Now in the 29th year as an international event, we have your go-to guide on what to expect at the 2017 NAIAS from mobile innovations to futuristic presentations.

The Gallery

The Gallery is an ultra-luxurious automotive event, signaling the kick off to NAIAS for the past 10 years. Hosted at the MGM Grand Detroit on January 7, a strolling dinner will be served by world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck in the Ignite Lounge with music provided by DJ Ryan Richards.

Guests will experience a $7 million collection of automobiles, including Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Rolls Royce. Executives and designers will be present to discuss the brands.

A unique array of silent auction items such as culinary, fashion, sports, design and hospitality will be available with proceeds benefitting C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

AutoMobili-D

The integration of AutoMobili-D signals the showcase of vehicles and technology that define and discuss future aspects of mobility on a worldwide scale.

From January 8 – 12 in Planet M Hall, guests will experience an exposition on the rapidly evolving global automotive landscape, featuring 100 companies, automakers, suppliers and tech startups.

Sunday’s opening ceremony will feature a keynote speaker following an open house with opportunities to interact with technologies and vehicles on display.

Press Preview

Detroit’s Annual North American International Auto Show Returns January 8 – 22 - Opportunity Detroit

The Press Preview allows for NAIAS-issued media credentialed journalists to experience two full days of reveals, debuts and memorable moments from exhibiting automakers and suppliers.

750 vehicles and interactive displays will fill Cobo Center from January 9 – 10.

Industry Preview

Detroit’s Annual North American International Auto Show Returns January 8 – 22 - Opportunity Detroit

The Industry Preview, January 11 – 12, allows a unique networking and professional development opportunity, bringing over 35,000 automotive professionals and analysts under one roof to discuss products, technologies and services on display.

There are two opportunities to attend this event:

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

Noon – 9:00 p.m.

Thursday, January 12, 2017

7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Tickets are $100 per person, with no admittance to children 12 and under. Tickets can be used once either Wednesday or Thursday. With your purchase of an Industry Preview ticket, you are eligible to attend AutoMobili-D on Monday, January 9 and Tuesday, January 10.

Charity Preview

Detroit’s Annual North American International Auto Show Returns January 8 – 22 - Opportunity Detroit

Proceeds of the Charity Preview, a black-tie fundraising event, will benefit a wide range of children’s charities in southeastern Michigan. Attendees will get up close and personal with this year’s cars and be entertained by the sounds of the iconic Beach Boys.

Tickets are $400 per person, $390 of which is tax deductible.

The big night is January 13, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., followed by the after-party, Studio 25 (also at Cobo Center) from 8:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Tickets for the after-party are $150 each and a Charity Preview ticket is required to attend. .

Public Show

The 2017 NAIAS Public Show gives you the opportunity for an up-close look at the future of automobiles and technologies.

8:00 a.m. daily – Early access for handicapped individuals

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (no admittance after 9 p.m.)

Sunday, January 22, 2017

9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (no admittance after 6 p.m.)

Be sure to purchase your tickets online or at ticket booths located on the Cobo Center concourse (cash only) at 1 Washington Blvd. Detroit, MI 48226. Tickets are $13 per adult, $7 per child, and $7 for seniors.
