Health and Fitness Expo
Held at Cobo Center October 17 and 18, this is your chance to browse the latest running footwear, apparel, nutrition, technology and marathon merchandise from over 90 exhibitors. Informative speakers on health and fitness topics will be on stage throughout the two-day expo.
In an effort to spread the enthusiasm over the entire weekend, this year the American Home Fitness 5k and the Meijer Kids Fun Run both take place on Saturday, October 18 at 9:00 a.m. Both of these runs incorporate the scenery found around the Detroit RiverWalk.
Cruise the Course
On Saturday, October 18, guided bus tours will be available to help you get a pre-race look at 20 miles of the 26.2-mile course. The one-hour tour will showcase Detroit’s rich history and exciting future. Find more details here.
Conquered Afterparty Event
This free, public event starts at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday and runs through 2:00 p.m. Live entertainment, music, dancing, a beer tent and a host of other options will provide a great place to eat, drink, shop and celebrate. Find more details at FreepMarathon.com.
