The Detroit Auto Show – Opportunity Detroit

The Detroit Auto Show Returns to Cobo Center

The North American International Auto Show is officially here, and I hope you’re just as excited as I am! Get pumped to see some amazing new 2019 vehicles this year. NAIAS is where car fanatics come together to rave about models that have just been released – or soon will be. What makes this event so special is that it offers six different shows in one: The Gallery, an ultra-luxury automotive presentation; AutoMobili-D; a look at future mobility platforms; a press preview; a charity preview; and a 9-day public show. A variety of different cars will be featured, from electric to full-size truck, so you never have to wonder whether they’ll have a vehicle you love.

If you’re interested in visiting the NAIAS public show, check out the information below!

Pricing for Tickets

Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for seniors age 65 and older as well as children ages 7 – 12. Kids age 6 and under can attend for free with a parent or guardian.

Once you purchase your eTicket online, you’ll receive an email that’s required upon entry. You can always reach out to if you have any issues regarding your ticket.

You can also purchase group packages for $9 per person if you have a party of 30 or more. Your group order must be in by January 19, and your ID is required when you pick up the tickets.

Dates and Times

NAIAS is officially open to the public January 19 – 26 from 9:00 a.m – 10:00 p.m (no admittance after 9:00 p.m.) and January 27 from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (no admittance after 6:00 p.m.). Early access for handicapped visitors starts at 8:00 a.m.

NAIAS is located at the Cobo Center, at 1 Washington Boulevard in Detroit. You can enter at Hall C.

Cobo is providing scooters for those with disabilities for $35 per 4 hours. You must have a license to grab one of these, and they’re first come, first served, so if you know you’re going to need one, I’d get to the show bright and early!

Additionally, Detroit Experience Factory will be running the concierge/info desk services at City Hub for this year’s event. Check out their Downtown Essentials Walking Tour here.
