One of Detroit’s favorite family friendly events is returning this year. GM River Days begins on Friday, June 22 and goes through Sunday, June 24. It’s open each day from 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. The event takes place every year on the Detroit Riverfront with several activities that are on land and water. GM River Days also has a variety of live performances for the weekend.
The event is the ideal family outing not only because of the scenery and activities, but because it’s inexpensive. Admission is just $3 before 3:00 p.m. and $5 after. All proceeds are to support the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. River Days is offering free admission on Friday, June 22 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Children 3 years of age and younger and seniors who are 65 and older are not required to pay an admission fee.
